Education and Professional Background

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bill earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Duquesne University — completing the degree

through 12 years of night school while advancing professionally. His journey reflects a lifelong commitment to growth, resilience, and disciplined leadership.

Bill began his career at UPS in 1964, rising quickly to leadership roles such as Sales Manager, District Manager, and Regional Training Instructor. He was appointed District Manager for Missouri in 1980 — earning the nickname “The Coach” for his motivational leadership style. He also contributed to major national union negotiations and corporate public affairs initiatives before retiring from UPS in 1985.

He then joined Foster Medical as Regional Vice President, and was later promoted to Group VP and National Operations Manager, serving on the company’s executive committee. In 1991, he joined NovaCare as Vice President, overseeing business expansion, M&A activity, and operational leadership across ten states. He was awarded NovaCare’s Chairman’s Award for Excellence in 1994.

In 2005, he joined Alphatec Spine as a consultant and was quickly promoted to National Vice President of Sales, where he doubled the sales run rate in less than a year before retiring in 2006.

Mentorship, Community Engagement, and Entrepreneurial Support

Since 2017, Bill has served as a Mentor and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, supporting student entrepreneurs and early-stage founders. In 2019, he was named Mentor of the Year for his dedication to helping students build real-world business success.

From 1982 to 2025, Bill served on four charitable boards — two in St. Louis and two in Overland Park — reflecting his long-standing commitment to community engagement and ethical leadership.
